Mr. Thomas Worthy is a seasoned educator with 36 years of experience, known for his dedication to delivering Ontario’s highly regarded curriculum and fostering critical thinking and excellence in students. His extensive background includes curriculum development, implementation, and supervision across Ontario, Australia, China, and the Caribbean. Mr. Worthy holds degrees in Physical Education and Biology Honours, as well as Education from Queen’s University, along with additional qualifications in Guidance, Special Education, and Biology. He is certified in Principal Program Development, Implementation, Supervision, and Assessment. As Principal at CTC Jinhua, he played a transformational role during the pandemic, ensuring successful outcomes for graduates. His leadership, support for staff, and commitment to educational excellence continue to be a valuable asset to Canadian Trillium College.


Supervising Vice-Principal: Mr. John Holtom

Mr. John Holtom holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Toronto, Canada, and a Master of Business Administration from Murdoch University in Australia. With over 30 years of experience teaching English to Chinese learners, he has worked across Jamaica, Canada, Thailand, and Hong Kong, and held leadership roles in various cities throughout China. His extensive international background and dedication to education have made him a respected figure in the field. Mr. Holtom is proud to lead a community of hardworking students and remains committed to supporting their academic success and future achievements.


Principal of Jinhua Campus: Ms. Melisa Smith

Ms. Melisa Smith is an Ontario Certified Teacher and Principal, qualified to teach across Junior, Intermediate, and Senior grade divisions. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature Studies and History from Carleton University and a Bachelor of Education from Trent University, along with specialist certifications in History and Reading & Literacy Development. Over the past 7 years at Canadian Trillium College’s Jinhua Campus, Ms. Smith has been a passionate advocate for international education, fostering a school culture rooted in respect, communication, engagement, and a growth mindset. Her leadership has expanded educational opportunities through initiatives such as enhanced student council leadership training, a peer support program focused on oral communication and cross-curricular learning, and the establishment of a student-managed English library. Ms. Smith remains committed to blending Canadian and Chinese educational practices to empower students and prepare them for future success.


Principal of Nanjing Campus: Ms. Hepziba Abraham

Ms. Hepziba Abraham is an accomplished educational leader with a distinguished record of service in the field of education. She has 20 years of teaching experience and has 5 years of experience as a principal. Her professional journey includes working with the Peel District School Board and Niagara District School Board in Ontario, as well as gaining valuable international experience in China as an educator and administrator. With extensive experience in academic administration and instructional leadership, she has consistently demonstrated a commitment to fostering excellence in teaching and learning. Under her leadership, the school continues to uphold the highest standards of academic achievement, character development, and community engagement. She believes education drives personal and societal progress, fostering environments where students achieve their full potential. Her leadership prioritizes academic excellence, integrity, and social responsibility, ensuring schools consistently uphold high standards.


Principal of Shanghai Campus: Mr. Angel Boukhari

Mr. Angel Boukhari is an Ontario Certified Teacher with a rich international experience. Well experienced and dedicated leader completing 6 years in leading roles such as Principal and Vice-Principal. Possessing an additional 14 years of experience in the teaching practice. He is an active participant in providing professional development to principals and teachers board-wide in terms of implementing the Ontario ministry requirements, instructional strategies, assessment, evaluation, triangulation and lesson planning.
